Gods what a massacre, lost about 400 men. I sent over 500 men against 37 briton chariots including a faction leader (very strong one too 5+ stars) and he ripped me a new one. so unless I want to go find all of the files, I'm stuck with half a game. Tried un-installing Rome, the uninstall froze and it never finished. Is this similar to what you're getting or does your pc just freeze up? If it's not similar to what you're getting, what the hell kind of problem do I have? Mcaffee's dat files are up to date, I run a virus check every time I turn the thing on, can't find anything. Which is odd, since I've moved on to other taxing games (Company of Heroes) with little ill effect when this 'thing' occurs other than a pausing the game and waiting for it to resume full-screen. R:tw is too taxing on my vid card to take this sudden change and as a result I often get the blue screen of death. There's something that pops up sporadically on my pc for just a second or two (not long enough for me to figure out what it is, and too random to predict the next occurence) and this 'thing' will minimize any full-screen games I'm playing. Just curious because I've stopped playing it on my machine because of some issues I've been having. Have either of you determined why it's crashing? * Gloss textures enabling environmental reflections * Enhancements enabling the AI to fight "smarter" * Authentic battle formations and army deployments * Classical soundtrack conceived by a professional composer. * Introduction video, faction elimination videos * Comprehensive graphical overhaul of the front end * New "Area of Recruitment" gameplay mechanic * Totally revamped combat stastics system * Two hundred new historically accurate army units The mod has been featured on the front page of several major gaming sites and magazines such as Gamespot and PC GAMER.
